Each beam you launch can hit an atom, reflect back toward the edge, or exit the grid from a different location depending on the nearby atoms. Use these clues to deduce where every atom is hiding without triggering unnecessary shots. The fewer beams you use, the better your score.

How to play

Use the behaviour of each beam to deduce the exact locations of all hidden atoms inside the grid.

1. Fire a probe

Click any border arrow to launch a beam into the box. The beam will move straight until it hits an atom, is reflected, or exits on another edge. Hits stop immediately, reflections return to the same edge, and detours emerge from a different position.

2. Record your findings

Use the indicators on the border to remember what happened to each shot. Combine multiple probes on perpendicular sides to triangulate atom positions.

3. Mark suspected atoms

Click inside the grid to cycle through atom markers. Confirm each guess only when you are confident—incorrect flags hurt your final score and leaderboard placement.

4. Reveal when ready

When you think every atom is accounted for, reveal the solution to check your deductions. Finish within the shot limit to secure your victory.

The reaction of each shot follows a consistent set of rules. Mastering them is the key to flawless deduction.

Direct hit: if a probe moves into an atom, it stops immediately. The entry point shows a red hit marker.
Reflection: atoms positioned on both diagonal corners of the path deflect the beam back to its entry edge.
Detour: a single diagonal influence bends the beam 90 degrees around the atom. The exit marker indicates where the beam reappeared.
Information cost: every shot consumes one of your available beams. Incorrect atom guesses do not end the game, but they do lower the leaderboard score recorded for a win.
Win condition: identify every atom without any incorrect markers before you run out of shots.
